Ballet training provides excellent ground work for all forms of dance. From a young age students learn the secrets behind classical technique, musicality, artistry and performance. We teach the classical technique of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in both the Graded Syllabus and The Vocational Syllabus. The RAD Syllabus is taught to more than a quarter of a million students across 82 countries, and is from one of the largest and most influential dance education and training organisations in the world. Students are prepared for examinations at the discretion of the teacher. Ballet Students wishing participating in the RAD examinations are required to attend two ballet classes a week.
Jazz is always popular because it’s fast, upbeat and utilises a variety of modern music. We teach the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) syllabus which encompasses many styles such as Broadway, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Funk and Lyrical to name a few.
Tap is technically based yet modern. The ATOD syllabus has been developed with industry professionals Paul Davis and Shane Preston (former Tap Dogs). Restore your tapping enthusiasm with fresh combinations specific to various tempo, style and age.
Contemporary mixes elements of ballet, modern and post modern dance. Students explore use of alignment, gravity, contraction, release and suspension. The ATOD syllabus is structured for students from 9 years of age with classical ballet training.
Hip-hop dance refers to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music or that have evolved as part of hip-hop culture. Students will learn set moves through the ATOD syllabus and learn new dance choreography each week!
